What is Crowdsourcing?

Crowdsourcing is a relatively new term, and is a made from the words 'outsourcing' and 'crowd'. Together these terms are meant to imply that when you have a job that you need someone to do, rather than paying an external company to do it, you can throw it out to some crowd to do.

This crowd could be any group of people, from a trusted team of people you know, right up to random strangers on the internet. You can choose how wide you cast your net, and to what level you trust the people who can access your project.
